Accept the invitation to an immersive experience in the big top, where the mysterious magic of visually
captivating theatre will breathe on you.
An-Ki is the voyage around a mysterious world when touch becomes as important as sight,
where sound unveils secrets and where shadows of giants blend with dreams that belong to the little
girl Adji.
An-ki is an ancient word from a dead language, but its meaning still lives on.
AN represents Heaven, KI represents Earth. But what does An-Ki mean?
An-ki represents the story of the origin and fate of humanity.
An-ki represents the voice of earth, seed, tree, fruit.
An-ki represents the memory of the world.
An-ki represents the universe.
Within the play of An-ki, the puppeteers from Cia Ortiga create their own world. The audience are not
just observers but they become a part of the story of the little girl Adji, her home and her family. Come and touch the mystery whispered by the wind between leaves of trees. Puppets, masks, objects and live music - the play combines all. All of this together create a unique atmosphere evoking the poetics of The Forman Brothers’ Theatre. “To describe this play is one difficult task. This type of theatre is an experience that, by all available means, invites you to truly perceive it through your own skin with the help of all your senses. It also invites you to engage the ability to let yourself be carried away, enchanted and amazed - the ability which children have and which we can rediscover as adults. If you are open to it, then upon entering the big top, it will take just a few moments and you will forget about the outside world. In the next hour, you will sink into a completely new universe woven from stories, puppets, landscapes, sounds, and much more. And by the end, you will witness a pure miracle. With its atmosphere, the play evokes the poetics of the Forman Brothers’ Theatre.
The performance is for audience of 8 years and up, younger childer will not be admitted.
