Torben Betts: CAROLINE'S KITCHEN
Caroline has her own cooking show, a luxury house in an expensive neighborhood, and is about to celebrate that her son graduated from Cambridge as the top of his class. Besides, she also has a slight drinking problem, tabloid press on her heels, an eccentric personal assistant, a husband who spends most of his time golfing, a bit of an affair with a younger craftsman, and a growing feeling that something is not right. The storm that's brewing will not only be outside the windows.
The comedy by successful British playwright Torben Betts (you could have seen the successful production of Vincent at the Klicpera Theatre) is built on excellent dialogues and black humor. It premiered in June 2018 at the famous London Park Theatre and immediately became a hit with audiences and garnered a number of positive reviews. Klicperovo divadlo will present it in its Czech premiere directed by Jan Holec (director of the productions At Home, I am gold and Fernando Krapp Wrote Me This Letter).
