Hana Krupková hails from the East Bohemian town of Chotěboř. She is stunning, and she is well aware of her attributes. Hana marries Václav, and they want to live a happy life, but unfortunately, they live in bad times. But Hana is beautiful, and beauty can be a currency. Regimes change, and the Krupks live under constant threat. Hana must rely on her body to ensure survival for both herself and her husband.
