Prašina is a mysterious place in the middle of Prague. Nobody knows why, but electricity doesn't work in Prašina. The lamps don't light up, trams don't run, the radio doesn't play, and mobiles have no signal. It's as if time has stopped there, but appearances can be deceiving. A trio of inseparable friends, Jirka, En, and Tonda, start to investigate the secrets of the past. They must face a series of dangers that test not only their courage but also their friendship. And don't we all long for a place where there's no internet, where it's dark and quiet, and we're not constantly online? Isn't it true that in a world full of progress, we're losing each other as well as our own souls? How about taking a moment to escape and experience something real?

Prašina became a bestseller and won over readers both young and old. Klicperovo Theatre will be the first in the Czech Republic to bring this title to the stage. The book was nominated for the Magnesia Litera Award in the category of Literature for children and youth in 2019. Vojtěch Matocha has already written two sequels and a film adaptation of this phenomenon is in the works.
