An original production based on the short stories, diaries, and letters of Franz Kafka, at the center of which stands a young man who is both narrator and the main character of his own story. Together with the many colorful figures that made up his real and literary world, they demonstrate that Kafka’s work is not just “a downer for intellectuals.” Humor, exaggeration, silent grotesque, and song accompany Kafka on his journey through his own life. Yet this is not a biography; rather, it is an autobiographical exploration with a light touch of cabaret and revue. Across the century, Kafka’s words cut under the skin, because Kafka Is Not Dead.
