Gabriela Preissová: HER STEPDAUGHTER

Kostelnička and her stepdaughter Jenůfa live in a closed village community. The reputation of a virtuous woman and respect from neighbors are what Kostelnička tries to preserve. But what all must she do to achieve this? Does pride really come before a fall? And how far are we willing to go when we love someone?

In Gabriela Preissová's drama, viewers will see Pavla Tomicová in the role of Kostelnička (who, in the 1996 production, portrayed Jenůfa instead). Director Diana Šoltýsová (director of the HANA production) returns to the Klicpera Theatre, and now her distinctive style can also be enjoyed on the Main Stage.
